If the Liberals will burn you with the books on electricity costs and charges, how can anyone trust they won’t burn you with the budget?  – harming the people of Ontario for generations or by making false promises?
The New-Demo-Progressive-CON-Liberal Party + Bogus bookkeeping = bogus promises!

“During this year’s audit, we experienced significant delays in receiving timely communication from the component auditor of the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). This is concerning because we disagreed with changes made to the IESO’s accounting policies that are significant, not only to the Province’s 2016/17 consolidated financial statements, but also to future reporting. Our October 17, 2017, Special Report titled The Fair Hydro Plan: Concerns About Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Value for Money highlight that these changes were integral to the accounting/financing structure being designed under the Fair Hydro Plan to ensure that the Province’s consolidated financial statements would not show the financial impact of the rate reduction in its annual results and net debt.”  Office of the Auditor General of Ontario Annual Report 2017 Section 2, Page 30.

Something Different Something Way Better … the Trillium Party of Ontario – because we won’t burn you with the books!

…$245 million was added to the electricity bills of residential and small business ratepayers…#11

“We think this accounting is bogus,” Ms. Lysyk told the committee.

“The government has been expanding the Industrial Conservation Initiative (ICI). …The Industrial Conservation Initiative (ICI) allows eligible large industrial ratepayers reductions in the amount of global adjustment they are charged monthly. …The OEB Panel reported on the impact of the Industrial Conservation Initiative (ICI) shortly after it was launched in January 2011.
Electricity prices for 65 large industrial ratepayers decreased by about 13%. In the first 10 months of the Industrial Conservation Initiative (ICI), their global adjustment charge was reduced by about $245 million.

This $245 million was added to the electricity bills of residential and small business ratepayers. Since the initial launch, the Industrial Conservation Initiative (ICI) was further expanded three times, shifting a significant amount of the global adjustment charge from large industrial ratepayers to residential and small-business ratepayers.

The decrease in the global adjustment charges to Industrial Conservation Initiative (ICI) participants has been, and will continue to be, shifted to residential and small-business ratepayers, increasing their electricity charges. For example, since the ICI was launched in January 2011, electricity charges for residential and small-business ratepayers have almost doubled from about 7 cents per kilowatt hour (cents/kWh) to 12 cents/kWh, while electricity charges for large industrial ratepayers have decreased from about 7 cents/kWh to about 6 cents/ kWh as of June 2017.” Auditor General Report, 2017 – Chapter 3 Section 3.06 Chapter 3 • Section 3.06 327 Ministry of Energy Independent Electricity System Operator— Market Oversight and Cybersecurity, p. 330

AND it never ceases to amaze me how the New-Demo-Progressive-Con-Liberal Party’s representatives can even look themselves in the mirror in the morning when you start finding all of these things out…seriously…isn’t it time for the truth, the law, democracy and your voice to be brought back to Queen’s Park…?

The Fair Hydro Plan? #10

Please share – your voice is our voice… Something Different Something Way Better for Ontario…the Trillium Party of Ontario – because we respect the Auditor General and the Financial Accountability Officer – whereas the New-Demo-Progressive-Con-Liberal Party does NOT!

So what’s not FAIR, you may be asking? The Fair Hydro Plan, that’s what. Consider this – the Liberals are playing fast and loose with the bookkeeping on this, the NDP are quiet and probably with the Liberals and as for the PCs – they want to add another 12% onto this debt to you and your family.

Also the PCs haven’t said whether they will repeal the “Fair Hydro Plan” method of bookkeeping or not…meaning it could be adding approx., $34.5 to $46.5 Billion more…SERIOUSLY! Isn’t it time for something Different and Something Way Better for you and your family – the Trillium Party of Ontario because we pay taxes too…
